Susan Romero of Beauty News NYC praised her visit to Uni K Wax for its clean space, gentle ElastiK Wax, attentive service and one of her best waxing experiences ever.

In a recent Beauty News NYC article, writer Susan Romero describes her experience at Uni K Wax as one that made her “appreciate waxing again.” After a break from the practice, she visited the Uni K Wax location at 405 3rd Avenue in New York City and left impressed by the quality of service and attention to detail.

Romero highlights Uni K Wax’s use of ElastiK Wax, a natural, pine-based, gluten-free formula applied at body temperature. She notes that it felt much gentler than traditional wax and didn’t irritate her skin. 

“Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the salon’s clean, modern decor and calming ambiance,” Romero wrote. “The staff greeted me warmly, which instantly made me feel at ease.” 

Her esthetician took time to explain each step of the process and adjusted her technique based on Romero’s skin sensitivity, which made the experience more comfortable. 

“The actual waxing process was surprisingly quick and relatively painless,” Romero wrote. “For my eyebrows, the esthetician listened to my instructions, which were to keep the shape and not make them too thin.” 

After the treatment, Romero was given helpful skin care tips, such as avoiding retinol products before waxing and using sunscreen and aloe afterward to reduce irritation. She left with smooth skin and no redness — something she hadn’t experienced with other waxing services in the past.

Romero calls it “one of the best waxing experiences” she’s ever had and says she looks forward to returning for additional services.
